This is simply a contents page setting out what is in the HIP. |
| Sale Statement |
This is a simple statement setting out the name and address of the owner and some details of the
property, including whether it is Leasehold or Freehold. |
| Title Documents |
In most cases these will consist of an electronically downloaded copy of the title register
maintained at the Government land registry and a copy of the land registry filed plan showing the
location and boundries of the property. These documents prove your ownership of the property and
provide a record of any covenants, rights or other matters which may affect your property. |
| Leasehold Documents |
If you are selling a flat, a copy of your lease which we can usually obtain from the land registry
will need to be included in your HIP. It is possible that after June 2008 the Government may require
additional information to be provided such as service charge accounts and insurance details. |
